This quote is from Donne’s writing on miracles, and is provided in Dinesh D’Souza’s book Godforsaken¹.
.
“There is nothing that God hath established in a constant cause of nature, and which is done every day, but would seem a miracle, and exercise our admiration, if it were done but once.”
.
It is important to remember that the describing of any “happening” in nature that occurs on a regular, systematic, predictable basis is not the same thing as explaining all the details of how it occurs, or why it occurs.
