   A funeral director once confided in me, “Everyone (needing our services) who comes to us is ‘going to Heaven.’” Implied was: We (by nature of our profession) are accommodating, nonjudgmental, and with open ears and properly smiling, are as silent as possible.

   The only words of own that we will add here is that the Bible teaches that a person’s salvation is not determined by one’s works, but by personal trust in Jesus Christ as Savior. That trust, however, leads to good works in obedience to God’d will.

   Don’t be surprised if in the future such out-of-favor Biblical passages are banned from being read in public because they conflict with the “correct assessment of secular morality.”
