These quotes are from the Associated Press that appeared in Rachel Zoll’s article that appeared in the Scranton Times Tribune (6-29-15).

Days later, says Roy Moore:

“Is there such a thing as morality anymore? Sodomy for centuries was declared to be against the laws of nature and nature’s God. And now if you say that in public, and I guess I am, am I violating somebody’s civil rights? Have we elevated morality to immorality? Do we call good, bad? What are we Christians to do?”

Says Assoc. U.S. Supreme Court Justice Alito:

“I assume that those who cling to old beliefs will be able to whisper their thoughts in the recesses of their homes, but if they repeat those views in public, they will risk being labeled as bigots and treated as such by governments, employers, and schools.”

There’s much more, of course. I also recommend everyone reading Chief Justice Roberts’s (who was one of the 4 dissenters) extended delivery of the Court’s verdict, as it’s an overview and summary of the dramatic social changes taking place in America …and why.

It’s not the easiest thing to get in your hands of course, but one can find it…

Later on, neither should one expect a rush to build statues in honor of these justices’ service.
