Robert Newman is the latest among those who’ve tied to show they’ve found the answer–with “credible evidence” to back it up that goes past the “God just did it supernaturally without leaving tracks”?

.

First, this includes a free Powerpoint presentation–with maps, technical details, and a very understandable overview of how this can be explained, carefully showing where natural data support the Biblical narrative, and where supernatural interpretation (at least so far) is still called for.

   This is a fascinating read!

Robert Newman (an acquaintance of mine for years) is the founder of the Interdisciplinary Biblical Research Institute [IBRI, see ibri.org] of those few scholars that have, actually or in effect, two or more doctorates from accredited academic institutions–one in an area of science, the other in an area of Biblical studies or Biblical languages; and who believe in a supernatural God and a divinely inspired Bible (both Old and New Testaments). For years IBRI has published books and articles prepared and reviewed by their members. Recently, converted to Kindle ebook format were 19 books, 24 syllabi, 59 research reports, and 50 occasional papers. These can be found at the Amazon website: the papers under “IBRI Research Reports” and “IBRI Occasional Papers,” the syllabi under “IBRI Syllabi,” and the books by author and title.

Newman’s Genesis One and the Origin of the Earth, shaped my thinking years ago.

I’m not in a position to give a detailed review on this new work by Newman’s recent work, but I think it’s worth the time of several who read this website. I certainly enjoyed it. I’ve found many papers from IBRI informative, academically measured, readable, and most helpful.
