The reason for isolating sex, love, romance, marriage, rape, abortion, and commitment in fiction will be given at the end of this post…

.

We will look at one book, my Earth Is Not Alone which is mentioned in the sidebar on the right. (And if you’re a bit bewildered by this, several reviews–some extensive–on my book exist at Amazon and elsewhere.)

.

Unfortunately, the back cover of my sci-fo novel does not appear in the popular electronic version. On that single “page” 80 words or short phrases appear alphabetically listed that describe what the book’s about. Here are ones that address, or allude to, sex, love, romance, marriage, rape, abortion, and commitment:

.

Abortion

Attempted rape

Deception

Interplanetary romance

Love until death

New rules and laws

Passion

WDSS (What does Scripture say?)

Young–too young–love, necessary but dangerous

I could make similar lists of “life and death” issues, “conflict,” ” life-and-death warfare,” “dying,” “battles,” “religious conflict,” “accusations,” “suffering”, and/or “danger,”–all in my story–but what would I be doing? Here’s my hidden agenda: I’m giving the spying electronic bots something to look at, count, and report according to their secret and regularly modified programing. The last time I mentioned sex even in a rather bland context, the hits spiked, so I’m seeing if that happens again.

There’s nothing dark in my interests. I’ve told you about my splendid novel. Also, I’ve underlined once again the amazing technological abilities we have to measure the bits and pieces of things that matter–the dots–but not the lines that connect them.

And about the magnificence and agility of those lines and what they can mean–bots are abysmally ignorant.
